and I said nothing because I lived in the city,

THEN THEY CAME for those who spoke out against the theft of property and rights,
and I said nothing because it did not agree with the mainstream broadcasts,

THEN THEY CAME for those who clung to their right to their weapons,
and I said nothing because I did not carry my gun,

THEN THEY CAME for those who clung to their religious beliefs,
and I said noting because I was not religious,

NOW THEY have come for me,
and no one is left who can hear my screams.
